Since 2018, The London & Middlesex Local Immigration Partnership (LMLIP) and its partners have been organizing the annual event, ‘All Are Welcome Here’ in March coinciding with the United Nation’s International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The two main objectives of these annual events are: to educate the public on different forms of discrimination, prejudices, conscious and unconscious biases and their implications for immigrants; and to engage the community in the conversation to make the region a more welcoming community.

All Are Welcome Here 2024

The London & Middlesex Local Immigration Partnership (LMLIP) with its partners held their free annual All Are Welcome Here, on March 6, 2024 to mark the United Nations Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

The event took place at the Portuguese Club of London, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The topic of the event was intersectionality, what it means, how it is represented in different groups and how it shapes the understanding of our world.

Here are some images of this year’s All Are Welcome Here event.

All Are Welcome Here: What Unites Us Is Stronger Than What Divides Us

This year, our annual All Are Welcome Here event will take place on the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

Together we will listen, learn and participate in interactive activities to better understand discrimination in our community and what we can do as individuals, organizations, and a community to combat it. In an effort to mobilize the global goal of eliminating racial discrimination, we must all take action locally, where we are. This event will equip us all to more effectively and actively make contributions to a more welcoming community here in London & Middlesex. After all, what unites us is stronger than what divides us.

Register here.

Agenda available on the registration page.

Disclaimer: This event will cover sensitive topics. We will do everything possible to ensure an inclusive and safe space for all to participate.
